Why does Hinduism passionately hold onto its vicious cast system?

Many visits to Hindu india and i have seen it all, how the high class hindus treat the lower class Hindus. The 2 lowest classes been the people who handle dead bodies and those who clean lavatories (known as lavatory coolies) are not even given a glass of water by the High class Brahamin Hindus.

How can you say that india's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru was wrong when he wrote in his Autobiography this comment,

' Hinduism is a plague to india and it has kept my people in the dark '

First of all I can't leave my Hinduism just because a person claims something bad about it. Secondly I never heard or read this statement. I think whenever you give any quote, YOU SHOULD ALSO GIVE ITS RELIABLE SOURCE.

The Caste system you read in the books is totally different from the system that is or was prevailing in the India. Actually what you read in the books is a net of conspiracy that has been woven from the time of the British and some Muslim Sultans. In order to justify the imperialism of British, Arya Invasion Theory was cooked and in order to prove Hindus the unworthy rulers, the Caste System is defamed. Please visit the villages of Hindus were every Harijan has an important place. For example the women from the tanner class comes to prepare Rotis during the marriage of Hindu Brahmins. In the past time, It was the barber class that used to select girls for the boys of Brahmins and other Sawarnas.

What did Caste System give to India?
Since caste system allows to do the same work from one generation to another, it brings a perfection in the action of the followers. You can say, "This occupation is running in the blood of this person." You can call it "Division of labour."
Caste System really strengthened Hinduism when
1)Tons of literature was prepared by Brahmins in the form of Brahmins, Aryanakas, Upanishadas etc.
2)Hinduism kept surviving for thousands of years under the protection of warrior class and still surviving satisfactorily in its worst time and the same thing is with Vaishya and Harijanas.

I won't deny the fact that Caste system was also misused by some people and even some Sanskrit literature was distorted for this but I doesn't mean that caste system is wrong but it was for a short period between the Vedic and Modern period.

If you will check the history, you will see that many Harijans were respected in Vedic time and Buddhism never ever wrote anything wrong about Caste System which again proves the conspiracy of British.

A news for you, The biggest summit on Hinduism was held in Naimisharanya in India long long ago where 88000 Savarna sages took part and this Summit was headed by a Harijan(Shoodra) named Soot ji. Still Harijans like Bheem Rav Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram or Maywati are equally respectable in India. Harijan Mayawati is the second most powerful lady in India after Sonia Gandhi.

Another news for you, It is only India where reservation was accepted by Hindus for their Harijan brothers so that they can progress.
Indian Govt. has even prohibited caste-based discrimination and its a punishable crime.

Once there was Apartheid in US and now it is not but we can't keep nagging Americans for the Apartheid they did in the past.............lol.

There are many sects in other religions too.
like Catholics, Protestant, Mormons, Jehovah's witness etc. in Christianity.
like Shia, Sunni, Ahamadia etc. in Islam.
like Heenyaana, Maheeyana etc. in Buddhism and many other cults.

The word "Religion" is itself divided into Christians, Islam Hinduism etc. So You should defame it too...lol.

Babes, There are more gruesome things to discuss upon like Apartheid of past, Islamic Jehad, Crusade, Imperialism, World Wars, Fight between Shia and Sunnis in the place of caste system that is merely a proper division of labour.

In the country of 100 crore people, if some cases come into the existence you can't use them to defame the whole Caste System. I mean how can you stop traveling in planes due to the news of some plane crashes.

And Paleeeeeeeees, don't try to understand India from any air-conditioned car or any 5 star hotel.
