Replacing a Kitchen Faucet?
hey guys, im replacing a kitchen faucet for my mom right now, and Its not one of the ones where it scres in on the two side panels, it has a long threaded neck that attatches to the sink basin, how would I take this out, I tried spinning the faucet to just unscrew the threading but it pivots...
The threaded neck has a single nut under the sink, you have to unscrew the nut. The easiest way is with a basin wrench, it is a specialty tool just for that purpose (link below). If you don't have one it can be very difficult to remove. You can try needle nose pliers or channel locks (adustable pliers) instead. It is one of my most unfavorite jobs and can be a real pain.
